carolynchen021...Chalky and very dryingApril 6, 2024I was very excited to try this lipstick, which I bought on recommendation from a beauty influencer. However, I was disappointed that this lipstick has a very dry, chalky texture - which was very different from the creamy, buttery texture that I was expecting from it (like a MAC lipstick). It goes on smoothly (but chalky) but made my lips feel SO dry within a minute of applying it. The color payoff also wasn't very good - it's very soft and muted, and the color has to be built up (though it is a nude lipstick). The color seems to go on pretty evenly though. Not for those with dry lips like me, who constantly needs to be reapplying lip balm. Disappointing for the price, but perhaps it can be re-used as a nude peachy blush, as its texture reminds me of powder blushes.
