I have been looking for something with a higher dose of retinol for a long time, since retinol works for me much better than retinal. This essence has an oily consistency and is very very potent. I would not advise it to beginners and even to experienced ones for the start I would advise to apply it after good mixing with some kind of cream or moisturizer. I will update my review in a couple of months or sooner.

I don't understand why people here wrote that this is a strong irritating retinol, I have been using it for about a week (not on the face) and it is very very mild in action. it's not nearly as strong as Polas Choise 1%, I'm disappointed, I expected it to be much, much stronger and now I'm not even sure if it works at all..

this oil turned out to be good enough and working. after 5 days of daily use. I can't say that I'm disappointed even though it's not as strong as I was expected it to be, but still, for that price it contains a huge % of retinol.

Ok so I guess I'm the first to review this product. Whew. The pressure! Haha. So this contains a high conc of retinol. If you're new, then you want to start slow. This product is only meant to be used once a week anyway. So yeah mix a drop or two into moisturizer. If you use it straight on your skin you'll regret it haha like I did. Then for a fee days after that you wanna pamper your skin with ceramides and other soothing ingredients that work for you. For me it's ceramides. You'll notice a smoothness and glow to your face after the first use. It's that effective. I can't wait to see the results after six months.

This has become my HG skincare product. It's making changes to my skin that I never thought were possible. My skin looks so even and bright now! And it's only been like 2 months or so even tho they say it takes about 6 months to see results. I'd repurchase this forever and ever but the bottle doesn't seem to ever run out. Cos i only use two drops once every 10 days or so. I hope yesstyle will keep selling this product forever.

This is extremely potent and not for the faint of hearts. One has got to be accustomed to high dosage retinol/retinoid to use this. The peeling one gets over extensive use is significant and causes the skin's overall turnover to work on overdrive. be warned. It has no discernible scent and has a texture somewhat akin to a dry oil in spite of it being strictly liquid. A little goes a very long way
