SunshineMixed feelingsMay 16, 2025The set includes The Saem True Mushroom LX Eye Cream together with the The Saem True Mushroom LX V-Lifting Roller Cream. I ordered the set because I was in need of an eye cream. At the time both products felt heavy.
Many months later, I realized that my simple hydrating routine, the Saem Mervie Actibiome or the CUskin emulsion, were problematic. A dermatologist advised a slowly acting AHA/BHA/PHA ampoule together with a CICA gel cream, with no improvement.
I decided to revisit my 20s routine (adding peeling and a clay mask twice a week), that is gradually restoring my skin appearance.
Surprisingly, all face moisturizers are now NOT absorbed, the acid ampoule as well, giving this glass skin effect. Not appealing, because the flairs are longer, and the baby rash is back every time I tried them. So, I do not use them anymore.
On the positive side, the roller, the actual metal applicator, is fantastic in cooling the skin.
Second, the Saem True Mushroom LX Eye Cream, is a great example of modern Hanbang formulation. The texture of the eye cream is buttery, and it needs some effort to melt on the skin. It takes at least an hour to get absorb. Now, I can safely use it as a face hydrator as well. Over a few applications, there is less need to reapply it on more dry areas. The morning after my skin still feels supple and moist. I wish the eye cream came with its own special metal roller, as I can’t use the v-lifting product …
Happy to enjoy at least some of the precious mushroom extracts. Hope that the company will consider my experience, because I can’t figure out yet what ingredient causes such a setback. I suspect it is the hyaluronic acid (or its source?).
