DHC - Carnitine Tablet

My metabolism has seemed to slow down a LOT in the past few years due to various factors (getting older, health issues, etc) and unfortunately it ends up making it really easy to gain weight despite eating healthy and exercising regularly. I've known for a while that carnitine is supposed to help with metabolism, and finding it here seemed a good chance to try it out.

Honestly, I think it really does help. The past months I've been trying really hard to lose some weight I've gained in the past year through diet and exercise, but nothing seemed to help. If anything, I still gained weight despite all my efforts. My body was being super stubborn and seemed to not want to let any of the weight go, and I constantly felt bloated.
So, when I started taking this (along with another supplement), I did notice that my weight started to go down a little, and I felt less bloated. And it felt like my body wasn't holding onto everything I ate as much, and I felt lighter. Currently, I've run out of the 20-day supply (but I have another package of this coming), and I think I do feel the difference now that I've gone a few days without the carnitine. I do feel somewhat bloated again, and my body seems to "hold on" to what I eat more, again. I don't mean that I constantly use the bathroom when taking this, I don't-- it's just some feeling I get with my body. I do feel like my body is able to metabolize and digest better when I take this.

I haven't weighed myself in weeks so I'm not sure of how much this has affected me in terms of weight loss. But the 'lighter' feeling it gives me is good enough. I'll continue to use this, as it does seem to help me. It's great that it isn't too pricey, too (though, I wish the package contained more than just a 20-day supply. Not sure why they don't make it a whole month). On a side note, I took this before meals rather than the recommended after. For my second package of this I'll take them after and see if there is any difference, and update my comment here if there has been more progress.

first thing i noticed was the taste..it was sour and tasted disgusting. the smell was also similar to fish? it was gross, but I think the disgusting taste lessens appetite.
