cloudberryreformulation?August 28, 2023I've been buying Sulwhasoo's First Care Activating Serum for around 5 years now, and have never been without it since. I see a difference in my skin if I don't use it. I bought this because it was on sale and a really good deal for 90ml, which is rare to see for this particular product.
I've been using this for around a week or two and I'm not sure what I think. I noticed that they added "Perfecting" in the name, I don't know if this is a completely different product from the original FCAS (which I still see around with the original name) or a reformulation, but the packaging is nearly the same (there have been so many colorways and special edition bottles of the FCAS over the years that seeing this, I thought it was the same as the original FCAS)... but I have to say the original is much better than this, if this is a different product.
My skin doesn't seem to be reacting as well to this one as the original FCAS. I don't know what the difference in its formula is, but my skin doesn't retain its usual smoothness with this. I also see small blemishes/bumps turn up when I normally don't have any, and the only thing I changed in my routine is this.
Now, I do think this is a genuine product. YesStyle has always been trustworthy with skincare and makeup in my books. But I think my skin just doesn't agree with this "Perfecting" version of the FCAS... which is unfortunate as now I have a huge bottle of this that I've barely made a dent in. I'm hoping my skin will eventually get used to it and that it'll work for me as well as the original FCAS, but right now I kind of regret buying this, as even though it was still on sale, it was not inexpensive either.
