Alice Green TeaPerfect watery stain for gradient lipsJuly 8, 2020This product is not made for full coverage/full-color lips, it's really made for gradients. For a watery lip stain, this product has a great color payoff- the color is very strong. One thing I particularly love about it is that it is better at staining the inside/center of the lips than it is at staining the edges of your lip, making it a naturally perfect product for gradient lips. The formula has a sweet taste, but personally I didn't like it much, it kind of reminds me of the taste of fluoride treatments at the dentist's office.
Once again, I want to emphasize this product isn't for achieving those full coverage, heavy color lips-- you're better off sticking with an actual lipstick. This is a sheer and watery stain product, so the result will be more natural and translucent. My suggested way of applying this for maximum stain and color payoff is to put a very thick coat of the lip stain on the whole lip, let it sit for 20 seconds, and pat off the excess with some paper. Because the inside of your lips will absorb more than the edges, it will still have a gradient effect. For a more natural/subtle gradient, apply it in brush-like strokes starting from the inside of your lips outward and dab dry.
