It is veryyyy matte so if you want a more dewy look make sure to wear a lot of highlighter and only apply a thin layer. I haven't really noticed a difference in protecting my skin from the sun, my regular sunscreen works well. Though I will say it is a great finishing powder for my makeup. Pair it with a good fixing spray and makeup will last all day
