Soft matte tones that blend like a dream
This palette in Tutu Ballerina has quickly become my go to for everyday and slightly dressed up eye looks. The four matte shades work beautifully together, going from a soft light pink in the inner corner to a deeper mauve brown in the crease, which makes it really easy to create a soft romantic look without needing any other products.
The texture is where this palette really shines. Despite being fully matte, the shadows are soft and powdery rather than dry or chalky, so they blend into each other effortlessly with just a fluffy brush. There is very little fallout even with the lighter shades, and I dont have to fight with patchiness or uneven application the way I do with a lot of matte eyeshadows.
The color payoff is buildable too. A light hand gives a subtle wash of color thats perfect for daytime, while packing on more product with a flat brush deepens the crease shade nicely for something a little more defined. The shades all read as soft dusty pinks and mauves rather than anything too warm or too cool, so they complement a lot of different eye colors and skin tones.
Wear time has also been solid for me, lasting through a full day without much creasing, even without a primer underneath. The compact itself is compact and sturdy with a mirror included, so its easy to toss into a bag for touch ups on the go.
Overall this is a lovely everyday matte palette with a soft romantic color story and a texture that makes blending simple even for those who arent super experienced with eyeshadow. Definitely one Id repurchase or pick up in another color story. -
