It has a grippy texture right out of the compact that smooths to a blended, moisturized finish. I've also used it to spot-fix areas that dry out and it melts into every other face product I used. The bear compact is aggressively cute as well. I like it enough that I ended up ordering the same product in the peach-pink color.
