After multiple uses, I can confidently say it works! I use this hair oil to scrunch out the gel cast, and it works perfectly compared to previous hair oils I've used for the same purpose. My curls hold nicer and maintain shape, while fighting off frizz even on windy days. 10/10, would recommend even for folks with curly hair!

I got the light version and when paired with my curling iron or straightener, it gives great curls that immediatly set. the curl itself is soft to the touch, not that aweful crunch feeling that you get with other products. and the next day i still have a beautyful wave in my hair (always sleep with hair tied on top of my head so curls never survive the night with me.
I use just one pump, which is enough for my hair. when used too much the hair becomes too heavy and i lose the curl very quick.
i also noticed the product working better with a little higher heat, but since this gives heat protection i’m not too worried about it and my hairdresser always comments on how my hair is so healthy (while i color and style it regularly)
will buy again once finished and thinking of trying the other version too which is supposed to be stronger, but gives a more firm curl. -

SabrinalightMay 19, 2026it is indeed super light, almost feels like one of those “dry” oils. But I’m not sure if this made a difference in terms of holding styles, and this felt really expensive for what it is.

Natalia LizamaMEHJanuary 28, 2026I tried the REFA Lock-In Hair Oil, which is supposed to help the hair maintain its shape and style, but unfortunately it didn’t work as expected for me.
The texture is nice and lightweight, and it does add some shine and softness to the hair. However, in terms of performance, it feels very similar to a regular hair oil.
I didn’t notice any difference in how well my hairstyle held throughout the day. It didn’t help maintain curls, waves, or styling compared to other oils I’ve used.
While it’s not a bad product and works fine as a basic hair oil, it doesn’t deliver the lock-in or shape-holding effect that it claims to provide.
Considering the high price point, I expected more noticeable results. For what it does, I don’t think it offers good value compared to more affordable hair oils that perform the same.
Overall, it’s usable but underwhelming. I will finish the product, but I personally would not repurchase it due to the lack of visible benefits and the cost.
