cloudberrylovely!February 11, 2025I really like this sunscreen. I've only been using it for a few days, but I really am enjoying it. I don't usually like J-beauty sunscreens since so many of them seem to be heavy on the cosmetic alcohol (especially in the scent), but this one seems to be fine.
This does give a 'light up' effect mostly because it has a slight tone-up effect. It's not a heavy white cast, but more of a gentle tone up color. It works fine for my skin tone (K-beauty shade 21), but I'm not sure if it would work for those with more tan or brown complexions, as it might look a bit ashy.
It has a thicker texture, smooths in well, but does need to be worked in a bit to blend into your skin. It leaves a velvety finish that is almost 'grippy' if that makes sense, like it would be a good base for makeup so your makeup won't slide off.
I have sensitive skin and eyes and this hasn't caused me any issues yet. I have fallen asleep in this when I had a really busy day, and it didn't cause blemishes. It makes skin feel velvety and really nice. -
