Rohto Mentholatum - Sunplay Super Block Sunscreen SPF 130 PA++++

Does it have the 100+ potency it claims? Probably not, but it's a solid basic sunscreen with the benefit of being designed to hook on a bag or key clip and take with you. Instead of searching through a bag to find a bottle, this clips anywhere so it's right at your fingertips ready to use. It's not the most luxurious feeling sunscreen, but I think it's intended for outdoor activities and other situations where you want a more robust product that won't sweat or rub off easily.

I heard great things about this sunscreen and it's really great. I swim a lot and I feel that this product lasts so long on my face, super waterproof, doesn't burn my eyes and dries quickly.

I use this as an anti-melasma sun protector. The formula is not watery/runny like other physical sunblocks of this type w/shaker beads in the bottle. It's a spreadable cream. As with all physical SPFs, you can see how much coverage you're applying, but it only leaves a very slight white case. I've ordered more.

I was not sure how this was actually going to be consistency-wise, but was pleasantly surprised. it is super lightweight and absorbs really quickly onto the skin... I have somewhat oily and sensitive skin. it does not leave you looking shiny at all. it has a more skin-like finish, not quite matte.

curiosity got me on this one. spf 130!?

overall, I like this sunscreen. it has a nice finish: not too shiny and shockingly no white cast on my skin tone. this product really does prove how elegant J-Beauty is (US SPF100+ could never lol)

but I have a few notes with this one. firstly, if you have allergies, be aware this does not come with ingredients (!? I know!) The details here on YesStyle don’t seem to be a complete ingredients list either, so I don’t feel confident saying I know what filters this contains.

next, it’s a bit expensive! in defense of the product, it seems this is made to be portable (I feel like the lid’s shape would fit a keychain well!) but in terms of price per oz, it’s a pricier option compared to many on this same website.

ultimately, I’ll certainly finish this, but I didn’t find it’s performance to be objectively better for me than the more affordable options. might be a great choice for those very, very sensitive to sun though!

Easy to use, no white marks left on the skin; cooling effect and good under make up!

This really impressed me. It looks like you have nothing on, dries to a satin/natural finish, and stays put even through sweat. Also doesn't sting the eyes. I work outside and this is my go-to. My skin always looks like I have makeup on when all I use is this!!

This sunscreen has milky-lotion texture, but it absorbs quickly, not sticky and DOES NOT run into my eyes when I sweat. I have really sensitive skin, and it's the only one that does not cause break out on my face.

keep using this brand after so many years, I still love it. I have been tried many other brands, but no brand can beat Sunplay. Very high PA++++ ability, water proof, sweat proof, after apply it absorb very well, fast, don't leave any shiny or oil on skin, don't leave any sticky or white residual like other brands. Total satisfied. Highly recommend.

love this sunscreen when I know I will be outside in my garden or working out. A very functional SPF and not so much for everyday underneath make up sunscreen. At least I did not like the feel underneath make up.

I was very curious to try this sunscreen. I've never seen one with such a high SPF, the highest I got in my country is SPF100 and it's a medical device. And honestly, for such a high SPF it's a very good sunscreen. It's convenient to travel with, pretty light, not greasy, spreads and sinks in easily and it doesn't leave a white cast (at least on my white skin; I can't be sure for darker complexions though). It also looks pretty matte, which I'm pretty happy about (I'm so tired of sunscreens that make you look like a disco ball...). Of course it's not perfect: first, it pills. A lot. Don't expect to wear this under make-up, it's gonna be disaster. Secondly, I think it might be too harsh for sensitive skins. I don't know if it's the filters or the perfume in there (my guess is peppermint), but it burned like crazy when I tried it when my skin barrier was compromised. It's fine now that my skin is better, but I wouldn't trust it with sensitive skins. But overall, the benefits overrun the bad points by a mile. If you're looking for a very high SPF sunscreen, this is your guy.
