I’d like to start off this review by stating that I have fine, straight hair. My hair is also very long (it’s down to the small of my back), and my scalp is both sensitive and prone to getting oily. I wash and blow dry my hair every day. I also heat style my bangs daily. I apply the Growus hair treatment after washing and towel drying my hair, but before blow drying it. There is a heat protectant in the formula, but I still use a dedicated heat protectant alongside the Growus treatment because my hair is very fine and vulnerable to heat damage.

This product is a repeat purchase for me and I’m on my 4th bottle. Having long, fine hair means that my ends are quite dry and prone to breakage, but I really do feel like the Growus hair treatment helps mitigate both of those issues. My hair feels stronger and shinier after spraying the treatment on it, and I love how the mica makes my hair look—it’s subtle, but it just makes my hair look glossy overall. I also feel like this treatment helps reduce tangling, which is a major plus for me.

I’ve tried both the shimmer and shimmer-free formulas, and I have to say that I do prefer the shimmer formula. The shimmer formula seems to be better for drier hair—it’s slightly oilier and richer than the shimmer-free formula, and I feel like I don’t have to use as much of it. That being said, since the shimmer formula is quite potent, I have to apply the treatment sparingly in order to prevent my hair from getting weighed down. I usually only use about 5-7 sprays for all of the lengths and ends of my hair. I avoid spraying the product on my scalp because it is oil-based.

I’ve tried three scents: Winter Dawn (the white bottle), True Me (the purple bottle), and now this one, Due Rose (the pink bottle). I’d have to say that the True Me scent is my favorite so far: it’s like a combination of blackcurrant, greenery, and jasmine. The Winter Dawn scent was too masculine for me—it’s kind of like clean laundry. The scent I’m reviewing here, Due Rose, is just okay. It’s not offensive or overpowering, it’s just kind of a basic rose scent.

Overall, I’d happily recommend this product for anyone and everyone seeking to add shine and reduce breakage in their hair! It’s hard to find hair care products that work well for fine hair and I truly feel like this product is now indispensable to my routine. You get so much product for what you pay for and a single bottle lasts me months, which is impressive considering how much hair I have, haha.

I really like this leave-in treatment! I apply it after showering, once I’ve gently removed the excess water from my hair with a towel.

It leaves my hair feeling more hydrated, especially from the mid-lengths to the ends, and makes it much easier to detangle. My hair feels softer and more manageable after using it.

So far, I’m really enjoying it and would definitely recommend it! 💕

I really like this leave-in treatment! It’s easy to use and leaves my hair feeling softer, smoother and more manageable without making it feel heavy. I also love the convenient spray packaging. A lovely extra step for dry or damaged hair. 💜

I can't believe I didn't try this sooner! It leaves my hair smooth for a really long time. My hair used to be so wavy and messy that I could barely brush it, but now I love brushing it—my waves stay intact and feel super smooth!
