Shu Uemura - Brush Cleaner

I've been a loyal fan of Shu Uemura's Brush Cleaner for years. It's the most effortless brush cleaner I've ever used and while it does have a strong alcohol smell, I've never noticed the alcohol damaging the bristles of any of my brushes. The plus is that because it contains alcohol, you can be confident that the brush is sanitized as well. Brushes dry quickly and the product leaves no residue on the bristles.

To use it, I pour a small amount into a plastic cup and gently dip my brushes in, making sure to keep the liquid away from the ferrule (the metal part). A gentle swirl or squeeze against the side of the cup is all it takes to release the pigment. I repeat this until the liquid runs clear, then gently squeeze out any excess cleaner with a paper towel. The brushes dry very fast thanks to the minimal water content and quick-evaporating alcohol in the formula. For fluffier brushes, I sometimes just pour a little of the cleaner onto a paper towel and swirl the brush directly on the damp towel to get them clean. It feels more economical than dipping a very fluffy brush directly into the liquid.

This is very efficient at removing built up foundation and other products from brushes with no residue once dry.

The quality is ok. It removes the dirt from my brushes but the smell is really terrible.
