Usually my palm is enough, but I like using this for more heavy duty cleans, like a caked up dense concealer brush. It gets everything out. Also silicone so hygienic, expands into a bowl if you want to let things sit in a solution or something, and doesn't move from the counter. Good purchase, worth the price.
