This really is different than the dupesFebruary 4, 2026Have been so curious about this essence for years and decided to try the smallest size first, then a slightly bigger pack with the toner and finally just decided it’s worth the hype, bought several small bottles and will be repurchasing going forward.
I also bought various dupes at the same time and both the texture and the effects are so much more evident with the SK-II version. (Though I do like the Missha as an add on to help stretch out applications - I use two layers of SK-II and a couple more with the Missha) The tiniest bottle strangely just felt like a nice soothing, smoothing, hydrating toner but no tingle - with the 30ml bottle I felt the tingle that a good ferment can cause (I hear this subsides as your skin gets used to it - this hasn’t happened with any of the dupes btw) so would recommend you just purchase the 30ml if you want to try it out as I wonder if packaging impacts it’s freshness/potency?? Anyway… I get the hype now, happy to recommend. -

After a week using it my skin started to look better, the pores appeared way smaller and the imperfections faded! My skin has never looked so good!
