PTrying Sulwhasoo First Care Activating SerumOctober 10, 2026I’ve heard so much about Sulwhasoo’s First Care Activating Serum that I wanted to try it for myself.
I like that it is designed to be used as the first step after cleansing, before the rest of the skincare routine. what confuses me is that is there a toner step before this or not!!!
The serum is cloudy translucent and spreads beautifully and skin does feel the luxe effect!
The 15ml size is perfect for trying out a premium product without committing to the full-size bottle. I’m particularly interested in how it layers with my other serums and moisturiser. A lovely way to explore this much-talked-about Korean skincare classic! -

È leggero, si assorbe velocemente e lascia la pelle immediatamente più morbida e luminosa. Non è il classico siero da cui aspettarsi un cambiamento drastico dopo due applicazioni, ma inserito con costanza nella routine fa davvero la differenza nel comfort generale della pelle.

It sinks into the skin remarkably quickly and layers beautifully with the rest of my skincare, without causing irritation, itching or pilling. It also works perfectly under makeup and does not make my foundation slide or lose its adherence.
The fragrance seems a little less intense than in the older version—I absolutely adored that rich, distinctive ginseng scent—but it still retains the refined herbal aroma and luxurious sensory experience that I associate with Sulwhasoo. My skin feels soft, smooth and perfectly prepared for the products that follow. A beautiful first-step serum and one I will definitely repurchase. -
