It did not cause anything, it didn't even clog the pores in my nose, which are the most problematic for me. I use it a couple times a week, as a final step in my night routine (toner, essence, serum, cream), and sometimes over my tretinoin. It is very subtly scented (I don't mind scent in my products, as long as it is not strong).
