The Ordinary - EUK 134 0.1% Serum

The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% is a unique, high-potency antioxidant serum designed to protect the skin from environmental stressors and reduce visible redness. It features EUK-134, a rare synthetic molecule that mimics the skin's natural antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase and catalase) and continuously regenerates itself to offer long-lasting cellular protection. Formulated in a water-free (anhydrous) base with Propanediol, it leaves skin looking radiant and revived over time.
​Texture & Application Note:
Despite being oil-free, the Propanediol base gives it an emollient, slightly oily texture upon application, along with a mild warming sensation. It absorbs quickly when used sparingly (2 to 3 drops are sufficient). For oily and combination skin, it is best applied in very small amounts, or mixed directly into a lightweight gel moisturizer to keep the finish light and comfortable without feeling heavy.
​Strict Compatibility Warning:
Do NOT use EUK-134 in the same routine with strong acids (AHA/BHA like Glycolic or Salicylic acid), direct Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid or Ethylated Ascorbic Acid), or Copper Peptides, as acidic environments completely destroy the EUK-134 molecule. It layers safely with basic hydrating ingredients like Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, or simple barrier creams.

Después de usar The Ordinary EUK 134 0.1% durante unas seis semanas, entendí por qué este es uno de los productos "ocultos" de la marca. No es un sérum que te deje la piel transformada de la noche a la mañana, sino uno cuyos beneficios se notan de forma gradual.

Lo primero que noté fue que mi piel se veía menos apagada. Con el paso de las semanas comenzó a verse más uniforme y con un brillo saludable, especialmente en las mañanas. También sentí que el enrojecimiento ocasional disminuyó un poco y que mi piel toleraba mejor la exposición al sol y la contaminación (siempre usando protector solar).

La textura fue lo que menos me gustó. Es un sérum aceitoso, aunque no contiene aceites. Al aplicarlo deja una sensación ligeramente pegajosa durante unos minutos y tarda más en absorberse que otros sérums de The Ordinary. Las primeras aplicaciones producen una ligera sensación de calor, pero en mi caso desapareció rápidamente.

Este producto lo he utilizado anteriormente y lo mejor es que no irrita para nada o piel a pesar de que tiene un poder antioxidante súper alto.
Me parece esencial para días donde se ha estado expuesto mucho al sol o contaminación.
